Ok, so it's been about a month since I last wrote. That's pretty sad, and I apologize. I wish I could do better, but it has been crazy. I've released 2 more episodes of The Craft Shack Chronicles, added more listings to my Etsy shop, made a few new things that will either become listings or were new technique R&D. Plus two birthdays, Easter, my wedding anniversary (18 years, fyi), a TON of volunteer shifts with a ridiculous amount of harbor seal cuteness, helping out neighbors, and then all of the regular life stuff. It has been hectic! Anyway, still here; still chipping away at Woods Waves and Wonders. Trying to keep an eye out for the craft fairs this summer-I'm hoping to set up a booth and try that out too!

In case you really like animals, marine mammals especially, check out the organization I volunteer for. They do a lot of good, and I can totally attest that these volunteers are crazy dedicated for what is 90% unglorious, smelly work. Ask my familia how badly I stink when I get home after a shift. Hint: not pretty. But seriously, friends. This place does really good work on a barebones volunteer crew, minimal funding, and small and aging facilities. Plus, right now we have babies-so their Facebook feed is like an overload of cuteness. Go check it out-you'll be glad you did!

The latest epsisodes of  The Craft Shack Chronicles are below. I'm in the middle of a revamp of my storytelling/video goals, so expect more showing and less telling on the next ones. I am honestly sick of myself as a talking head. It's a waste of time for me to edit and for you to watch, so we're pivoting! Yay change! But...until then-here you go. At least there's cats.

Hey Y'all! Episode 2 is out and ready for your viewing pleasure! I'm pretty proud of it if I say so myself. I mean, I'm no Speilberg...but from zero to 2 videos is nothing to be ashamed of! Anyway-check it out!

In other news, Woods Waves and Wonders on Etsy is still chugging along. No sales yet, but I am steadily adding products and remain hopeful. Unfortunately, the sticker market is pretty saturated, so getting my listings seen is proving difficult. So far I've driven about 90% of traffic and Etsy has only done 10%. This means that actual people ready to buy some stuff are not even getting a chance to view my  creations. It's alright though-I remain undaunted! Ok...slightly daunted...or even totally and completly daunted on bad days...but I will persevere!

If you all feel like some cute LGBTQIA+ stickers need to be in your life, then head over to Etsy and help me with my dauntedness or lack thereof (pretty sure that's not a thing, but you get me!)

So...opening an Etsy Shop is a bit more challenging than I thought. I only have a single listing up. It has crap photos. I think the pricing is still wonky because I can't figure out how to offer free shipping. All skills I still need to master. Ah well...progress, right?

I have a problem with scope creep. Ten months ago, the concept of opening an Etsy shop was litterally to make some stickers, pin banners, and "whosits and whatsits galore. You want thing-a-ma-bobs? I got 20!" Ok...getting off topic and into Disney song lyrics... ANYWAY.

Scope Creep. My Etsy shop concept rapidly evolved into A BUSINESS EMPIRE MUAHAHAHAHAH...Seriously, I wanted to start things off "right". I wanted a website (this little gem right here is the result of that.) I wanted a business social media presence. Then, I figured I'd video this whole hot mess, learn how to edit video, find time to create a You Tube channel, and just add that to my ever-growing list of to dos...see where this is going? Like, what the heck am I thinking?!

I'm not. Obvs. But, I think that there is value in showing the whole messy, chaotic, and confusing process. I want you all to see that perpetually time-strapped, easily distractable, technological juniors like me can figure it out-so you can too! So. here's the intro to what will be a regular vlog/laugh at this dork (me) video series on You Tube. As always-connect with me via all the links I post (the Craft Shack gets a bit lonely). • Storefront: In progress; we're trying to maintain a sustainable pace, which sometimes feels sooooo slow. It feels great to mark off todos, though. As we look back, we've marked off A LOT of todos! We'll get there!
• Products: Just about ready; final touches, really. Can't wait to start sharing final results.
